How to Frame a Cork Board

Creativity and organization go hand in hand when learning how to frame a cork board. Perfect for displaying important notes or your favorite photos, this project lets you control the style of your framed cork board and is completed in under an hour.

  1. First: The choice

Choose a picture frame, open up the back and remove any glass or other pieces. Take the back of the frame board and lay it on top of a cork board square.

  2. Second: The trace

Carefully trace along the edge of the frame backer with a pencil or any writing tool you have.

  3. Third: The cut

Slowly cut the traced cork out with a utility knife, making sure the edges stay straight. Make the cork square exactly the same size as the frame backer to fit correctly in the frame.

  4. Fourth: The glue

After the cork has been cut to size, generously spread rubber cement on the inside of the picture frame's backer. Place the cork square on top of the rubber cement and gently apply pressure and smooth. Wait at least ten minutes, insert the cork board into the frame and show all your friends how to frame a cork board.
